About Stout Woodworks, Bentwood Ring Makers
We are a family-operated company specializing in bentwood rings.
None of our rings are mass-produced. In fact, we don’t even own a lathe. Instead, each and every bentwood ring is meticulously constructed using traditional handtools and techniques, all the way through to the ring finishing process.
We’ve been woodworking on a hobbyist level from a very young age – building primarily rustic furniture and utensils – and started the bentwood ring business in 2008.
Despite what you may think about the durability of wooden rings, ours are built to last. We put our initial rings through very rigorous tests, including overnight water submersion (even with no protective finish applied), washing machine, dryer, wearing them during yardwork, and more. We do not recommend being rough on our rings, but we realize you shouldn’t have to worry about whether your wooden ring will hold up to hand-washing and everyday life.
